One of the biggest keys to making your dog a keen bird finder is using plenty of birds. Here at Platte River Kennels I pride myself on this aspect. I raise my own pigeons and have access to both pheasants and ducks. Each training session your dog is put on birds. My idea of a well trained dog is one that will actively seek birds in front of the gun, flush the birds and retrieve it to hand. I have access to many acres of land with different types of terrain. Your dog will be exposed to cover it will experience during a day a field.
For those of you who do not want to deal with puppyhood, I offer started dogs. I will crate train, obedience train, and collar condition your dog. By the time your dog is six to several months old your pup will be shot over, retrieve to hand, and tracking cripples. Please contact me for more details and pricing.
